Six of us stayed here—3 couples, all related. It was great. An easy walk to excellent restaurants. Easy to get to hikes and drives. The owner was very helpful, and immediately fixed a minor problem with the heat. One thing to note is that the house fronts on a narrow one way street, so you can hear traffic, although there is very little at night. We really enjoyed staying here and would remember this place.

Eine sehr familiäre, schöne und liebevolle Atmosphäre. Immer wieder gern, würden wir bei einem Aufenthalt auf Kreta, dieses Haus mieten. Es wird sehr auf Hygiene und wohlsein geachtet. Nur weiter zu empfehlen!

A fantastic spot close to the main square in Archannes. Had everything we needed to cook at home in a well appointed kitchen. Access to the pool and beautifully kept garden made it a wonderful place to unwind. Also a great bakery right next door with friendly owners so you’ll never go hungry! All in all it was a wonderful stay.

The place is amazing. Everything you see is what you get. The photos show it all. We were a family of 5 (two teenagers and one older) travelling during a time when we had to be careful and respectful of everything. Emmanuel and Yannis were always available for questions and answers and very understanding for all the hesitation and issues we had before we even jumped on a plane. Once we were there, it was everything we could have asked for. So easy to check in with the Owner who is local and there for any questions you have. The place was exactly like the photos and bigger than we expected. All the amenities for your comfort of cooking, eating, dining, sleeping and just relaxing. The location of the villa is in a wonderful village of Archanes that is a short drive from Heraklion (18 minutes). The village people were welcoming and I think grateful to see foreigners, considering the time. We enjoyed the hellos and nods of welcome. The centre of Archanes had so much to offer restaurants, shops, great bakery (right beside the villa) along with walks and historical sites to discover. Everything you need for a family holiday and more. We highly recommend the Classy Villa for a place to visit. Thanks so much for a wonderful family holiday.

We had a great week at the apartment, my wife and I and our adult daughter. The apartment has a great situation in the village and lots of beautiful features and the pool is wonderful for relaxing and cooling off. The village is very friendly and there are a lot of good restaurants and bars in the central square. Our favourite was Bakaliko which is also a Deli and has unusual variations on local specialities as well as an extensive selection of local high quality wines.

We had a wonderful time here. Archanes is a short taxi ride from Heraklion airport and Eleni was kind enough to contact us once we'd landed offering to pick us up from the village centre and to take us to the villa. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch. The villa itself is amazing: really spacious and well-appointed, with a wonderful pool - perfect for a family wishing to relax, spread out, have fun and reconnect. The bakery next door served great coffee, bread and pastries every morning and the rest of the village spoilt us with its beauty and character. Archanes is not at all touristy - I don't think I heard a single English voice while we were there - nonetheless its people are warm, relaxed and welcoming. There are countless really lovely Tavernas, serving incredible local cuisine and wine. Busses to Heraklion and the beaches beyond are cheap yet spotless and comfortable, but much of the time we were content to spend our days at the villa and around the pool, and our evenings in the village square, dining amongst the locals. Thank you to Emmanuel, Yannis and your team for an exceptional experience.

Perfect holiday for students. Hosts were very helpful. Even without a car we found it very easy to get around (regular buses to Heraklion etc). The villa was just as described.

For those who want to experience smaller town life in Greece, this villa in Archanes would be hard to beat. Centrally located, no car is needed if you are satisfied with being in a traditional village where the daily rhythm is different. Prior to our arrival, the property managers were very solicitous and easy to communicate with. The day of, we were met on time where we were told, and taken to the property. The villa is exactly as described in the listing. It is a great place to relax and recharge.

"We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Archanes, hosts made it very easy and always responsive if needed. Also provided lots of useful local knowledge. Archanes has great character, it feels very authentic but still with local restaurants and supermarkets accessible and catering for non Greek speakers. You do need a car as rural setting and be prepared for narrow streets and local traffic."

"The house has character within it's stone walls. You can tell from the decoration and furnishing that it was inhabited for a long time by Cretans. It works as well as a holiday house. The kitchen is stocked very well, you will find everything you need. The pool is very refreshing and the garden really quiet. The house provides a lot of space for a family of 4 or more. The location is perfect on one of the main streets in the village (next to a great bakery). "

"The property is spectacular and had all the amenities we expected, plus more. The pool was welcomed on the hot days, and they were very prompt with coming out when the filter stopped running. Archanes is an amazing town, with street parking all very close and Bakaliko is recommended for a wine tasting and dinner. I would stay here again in a second, and hope to return on our next trip to Crete. Highly recommend."
