Villa Afroditi in Platanias, Chania

Villa Afroditi is a 5-bedroom villa with an additional open bedroom and a private pool of about 55 sqm, located 2 km from the long shingle/sandy beach and 3 km from the center of the town of Platanias. A bakery can be found at 1500 meters, two supermarkets and many restaurants and bars in the town of Platanias. A car is needed for your stay to visit the long sandy beach, the town of Platanias, the picturesque town of Chania at about 13 km away, and the most famous sights of west Crete (Elafonisi, Falasarna, Balos lagoon).

Villa Afroditi is built in maisonette style and it consists of three levels. The main entrance leads to the middle floor, where is the open plan area with a living room corner, a dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen. Direct access to a beautiful terrace with an outdoor dining area and great nature views is offered through the balcony doors of the living room area. One bedroom with two single beds and a shower bathroom are also provided on this floor.

The top floor of the villa Afroditi has two bedrooms with a double bed each and two bedrooms with two single beds each. A bathroom with a bathtub with hydro massage and a shower bathroom are also offered. Balconies with panoramic nature views and an outdoor seating area are offered on this floor.

The lower level of the villa has an open plan living room area with two sofas and two single beds, which can be used as an additional open bedroom, the sixth bedroom of the villa. A table tennis, a pool table, a football table and a fitness corner with a static bicycle, a treadmill and weights are also offered.

All guests can enjoy a lovely private pool of about 55 square meters with a children corner, sun loungers and sun umbrellas and a lovely garden surrounding the villa. Barbecue facilities and private parking space are provided.

"The villa was incredible and perfect for 8 people (with room for more if needed)! It was completely private with stunning views of the mountains and beach on either side. You definitely need a car to reach the villa and beach, although the town of Platanias is close by car and has loads of bars and restaurants. Chania is a very short car ride away as well. Overall could not recommend more!! Perfect for group/ family holiday!"

"Very comfortable villa with all described services. The location was very convenient since the beach in Platanias was only 5 car minutes away, and to Chania it was only about 20 Minutes by car. I can definitely recommend! The Villa itself was very clean and well organised, the hosts were more than friendly and always available if we had questions. They tried to make suggestions fitting to our big group which was also helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!"

We had a great stay at the villa of Yannis and Emmanuel. We stayed there for one week and we all (4 adults, 6 kids) had a lovely time there. The swimming pool was great and the ”game center” at the basement was a hit. We recommend this place for sure!

A fantastic villa, very private and an incredible place to chill out and relax, we found ourselves spending more time in the pool rather than heading out to the beach. Great location to journey from, an hour or so from most of everywhere on the west side of the island. Highly recommend, would rent again.
