Kounoupidiana is a suburb of Chania about 7 km away from Chania center. The little town of Kounoupidiana which is located in the Akrotiri, is new built and offers a large variety of amenities for tourists and locals.
You can find some taverns, grill houses, bakeries, fitness centers, cafes and even a Chinese restaurant. Two big supermarkets, some mini markets, a market with fresh fish and tennis courts in Agios Onoufrios village and in Technical University of Crete are also provided.
Within 5-10 minutes driving distance visitors can find the lovely sandy beaches of Kalathas and Tersanas and the famous sandy beaches of Stavros where the film “Zorbas” was shot. Finally, Chania international airport (CHQ) is located only 7 km away from Kounoupidiana.
