We can organize a tour of wine tasting or an excursion for you in an authentic winery of your choice such as Manousakis Winery, Dourakis Winery, Karavitakis Winery or Pnevmatikakis Winery in Crete.
Manousakis winery offers a variety of tours and tasting options daily at 11:00 am, 13:00 pm and 15:00 pm. Terroir tasting tours and premium tasting tours include a tour of the winery, a presentation and explanation of the wine making process and a tasting of 5 or 7 different wines accordingly with local Cretan rusks, olive oil and sea salt.
A tasting tour can also be combined with a cooking lesson in Manousakis Winery, also including a presentation on how to make the traditional local dishes of dakos, gemista/dolmadakia (tomatoes, grape vines and peppers stuffed with rice) and youvetsi (beef and orzo stew in tomato sauce) and a traditional meal.
A winery shop where guests can buy a great selection of wines as well as other local goods is available in Manousakis Winery. Meals can also be offered to guests and even special meal requests (children’s meals, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free etc.) upon request of 1 day earlier.
