Drosia is a tranquil village of Crete with a very strong sense of traditionality. Pure people, goats on the hills, fresh air, and peacefulness. To the center of the village there are a few excellent, traditional tavernas and also a bakery shop. Shopping facilities can be found in the next largest village.
In about 2/3 km distance there are many traditionally kept villages. At a 10-minute drive there is the historical, famous village of Anogia. Driving up from Anogia towards Psiloritis mountain, (asphalt paved road), the visitor can admire the mitata (sheep sheds) of unique architecture - stone built huts, to enjoy the snowy atmospere in the winter and the unique plateau of Nida, with the nearby Idean cave, birth place of Zeus. In Zoniana village one can visit the amazing cave Sfedoni, with its stalactites and the waxed images museum.
