"This villa is very much so a paradise! You can stay with your whole family, as this villa offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room and combined kitchen is very nice. The living room is equipped with a large sofa, large TV, PS3, satellite tv with different channels, dvds for children and others, dining area and a sleeping sofa. The kitchen is well equipped with almost everything you need. We had to buy staples like oil, salt and pepper to cook with, as well as sugar. Also baking sheets and aluminum foil etc we had to buy.
The garden is beautiful and there are lots of sunbeds and seating areas, as well as a bar with a fridge. The parasols were broken though, but we got a new one, so thats good! :) The pool is always clean and nice size, but very cold!! since its almost completely in the shadow all day. And heating the pool cost 80€ a day, and too expensive. At the back of the house there is a nice play yard area for children, as well as a chair for children. The garden is big and is nice for playing beach ball and Frisbee's (which we left by for others to come :) )
The owner and his family is sooo nice and friendly and takes very good care of you when you stay at the villa!
Its smart to rent a car, because it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the store (Inka supermarket and Lidl) and Maleme village and beach. About 5 km to walk from the villa to the beach. About 45 minutes from Chania Airport.
The cleaning staff is also nice and does a good job. The cleaning of the whole house is thorough, and the pool is also cleaned. Bed linens get changed and you get new towels every 3-4 day, depending on how often you want cleaning.
The only negative is that the kitchen has ants in it, but it honestly wasn't so much of a problem, because we didn't leave any food out on the counter :) The kitchen is also the home for a lizzard/gekko, although we only saw it the first two days of our 14-day long holiday.
This villa is the perfect place to be in if you want a nice quiet and relaxed holiday. The house lies between olive trees, and the olive trees are everywhere as long as the eye can see. When you lay by the pool you get a small breeze, just enough to keep you from being to hot from the sun. (Although in September we got a bit chilly weather and the wind got a bit too cold when the sun were behind clouds.) The villa is luxurious and you feel quiet at home! Yannis and his wife makes sure you have the perfect holiday! Worth paying for! We will definitely come back some day!!

We miss the Cretan sun and warmth here in cold Bergen, Norway (5 - 10 degrees Celsius) (but very nice weather, sunny for almost a month, very unusual for this time of year). It was quite a cold shock and climate change going from 27 degrees to 5 degrees and below 0 degrees and frost on the ground at night).
If anyone consider visiting this villa, we very much recommend it!! :) The house is perfect, the area is quiet and beautifully located. Nice view. The village of Maleme is only about 10 minutes away from Agia Marina and Platanias, which offers many restaurants. Beautiful beaches everywhere. Nice drive down to Elafonissi beach as well!"
